The Universe
I shall be dead one day and all I know:
The knowledge that I gathered down the years,
The memories of loves and joys and tears,
Will all these vanish like a flake of snow
Touched by the springtime sun? It may be so;
Perhaps this universe is meaningless,
A mocking jest, an empty sham, a mess...
The may I close my eyes and bid it go.
